The show Bandini on NDTV Imagine has also won rave reviews. Bandini means prisoner and this program is a poignant tale of a young woman’s journey! The story of Bandini is based upon a Gujarati family living in a village. The main protagonist is an 18-year-old girl, who works in a factory. The serial progresses with a series of events, including Santo getting married. Her marriage completely changes her life. The other popular shows are Meera, Seeta and Geeta, and Jyoyi. We also see that most of the shows are women centered, with strong focus on the hopes, dreams, and aspirations of the protagonist.
Television, like any medium, is evolving. The focus is gradually shifting to the online media. Viewers want to watch their favorite programs from the convenience of their PCâ??s.
