After the UIGEA Act was passed by the Bush administration to try to prevent American citizens from gaming online, it has become progressively more difficult for bettors from the USA to find reputable online casino websites at which to play.

Many of the leading software providers, like Microgaming, and casino companies, such as Party Gaming, quickly pulled out of the US market, leaving players with a restricted number of places to enjoy online gambling.

It is well worth pointing out at this point that the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) doesn’t actually make gambling online illegal. However, with a lot of major players panicking and pulling out of the US market, there isn’t as much choice as there once was for players from the USA.

The second part of that last sentence is critical, of course. You need to be positive that you will get paid your winnings promptly when you do win. Please keep in mind that it is – more often than not – the unhappy customer that makes the most noise and every business has a few problem clients!
